Hello, my name is Panchito Ojeda and I am the head coach for the Marquette University Men’s Club Lacrosse program. I hope this letter finds you well, and congratulations on consider Marquette University. It is one of the premier universities in the country. Our program has been in existence since 1986, and has seen a great deal of success during our 23 years of existence.
As a Marquette graduate myself and former player, I can’t tell you how excited I am about this team’s future, and this letter is part of that. I want to invite you to become part of a great and growing program. Some of the best years of Marquette Lacrosse are on the horizon, and it all starts with you.
Marquette Lacrosse is built on hard-working, dedicated men looking to get a great education and further their lacrosse careers in a supportive, fun, and competitive environment. As a member of our program, you will instantly feel this support and quickly share in the saying, “We Are Marquette.” On the lacrosse field, you will experience intense practices, exciting trips to play great competition (opponents include Minnesota, Iowa State, Illinois, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Kansas State, Michigan, BYU, Arizona State, etc.), and a camaraderie like nothing you have experienced before. 
Off the field you will become a part of the Marquette community, one of the top universities in the country. With new facilities, division one athletics, a national exposure, and top-tier academic programs, Marquette and Milwaukee will quickly become a great place to call home.
Marquette Club Lacrosse operates much like other Varsity programs across the nation, with the only exception being a financial commitment on the part of the player. We are part of the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA), an organization made up entirely of “Virtual Varsity” programs like ourselves that work and operate like varsity programs. We travel by coach bus and stay in hotels. Our team is outfitted head to toe with team uniforms and apparel. And we compete against over 100 teams from across the country at major institutions to make it into the weekly Top 25 rankings and ultimately vie for a National Championship. Our games are televised through online video streams for family and friends to watch, and our games are attended by hundreds of people, especially home games which consistently bring hundreds of students to the sidelines of our excellent athletic facility, Valley Fields.
